Alan Wong

Tutoring Supervisor

Alan is a senior majoring in Engineering Physics and minoring in English. This will be his third year working for Academic Services as a physics tutor. While he loves teaching, he plans to work in the engineering industry first before pursuing a career as a teacher. When he's not tutoring, you can find him with a camera in hand shooting photographs for The Daily Californian. In his spare time he likes to play video games, workout and cook!

Deaglan Halligan

Tutor

Deaglan Halligan is an undergraduate at the University of California, Berkeley where he is working on his B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and his B.A. in Mathematics. He does work for the Institute for Scientific Computing Research at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and the Lapack group at Berkeley. Deaglan also tutors high school and college students in mathematics and English, and is now tutoring Berkeley students mathematics through Academic Services.

Jennifer Wang

Tutor

Jennifer Wang is from Laguna Hills, CA and is a junior at UC Berkeley, majoring in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. She also plans on minoring in Music and Physics. Jen loves teaching and tutoring and intends to go to graduate school, eventually pursuing a career in academia as a teacher and researcher. In her spare time, she likes to paint, draw, play piano, do yoga, and play basketball. She's very excited to meet all the students!

Kathy Tong

Tutor

Kathy is a senior at UC Berkeley majoring in mechanical engineering. She is a huge Simpsons fan and loves quoting lines from The Simpsons. In addition to tutoring, she also enjoys biking, rollerblading, skateboarding, skimboarding, and playing any type of team sport. This will be Kathy's second year tutoring for the Academic Services.

Miguel Chan

Tutor

Miguel Chan is a junior majoring in Mechanical Engineering he transferred to Cal from Rio Hondo College in the fall of 2007. He Plans to attend graduate school to research and exploit the potential of nanotechnology. He enjoys listening to the world famous "KROQ", eating his favorite hamburger, Carls Jr's "Double Western", going to "Six Flags", and 99% of the time he wears nothing but black clothing.

Hi everybody! My name is Alfred Man, and I'm a third year student in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Although I am not a math major, computer science requires tons of math, so I can help you with any problems you have in your math classes. I'm from the small Los Angeles suburb of Walnut (not Walnut Creek), although I enjoy living in the Bay Area as well. In my spare time, I like to play basketball and play the piano.
